WHO'S IN CHARGE?

Operating as a democracy, members volunteer to serve as our directors and committee members. This volunteer structure is the backbone of the credit union philosophy and further sets us apart from other financial institutions.

  • An Annual Meeting of the Membership is held each year, at which time you'll elect your fellow members to the Board of Directors and the Credit Committee. Regardless of the number of shares you hold, you are entitled to one vote at the Annual Meeting. All elected and appointed officials serve without pay and contribute many hours to the credit union.

  • Your Board of Directors consists of five fellow members, who have the ultimate responsibility of policy-making for the credit union. They meet at least once a month to review and analyze our operations and policies and maintain our general direction. Directors are elected for a term of two years.

The board hires a chief executive officer to carry out its policies and manage the credit union and its staff.

  • The Supervisory Committee consists of five fellow members, appointed by your Board of Directors. It is their function to conduct audits of our books and records, at least annually. They may also periodically appraise our policies, procedures and operations and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.

  • The Credit Committee consists of fellow members, elected for a term of two years. Meeting weekly, they work with our professional loan officers in acting upon members' loan applications when necessary. The policies under which the Credit Committee and loan officers operate are determined by your Board of Directors.
